PRESS RELEASE

Following an inspection of the racetrack at 8:30AM today (Saturday 23 August, 2008), by the Chief Racecourse Steward Mr. Stephen Walcott; Racecourse Steward Ronald Thornton; Jockeys’ Association President Mr. Randy Cumberbatch and Member Mr. Jason Leacock it was discussed and agreed that due to the track being waterlogged in various sections to postpone the day’s racing.

The Racecourse Stewards then advised the Club’s Board of Directors of the decision.

Having been so informed the Board of Directors by way of round robin took the decision to re-schedule the raceday to Saturday 30 August, 2008 with post time being 1:00PM.

Consequently upon the postponement of the raceday of Saturday 23 August, 2008 to Saturday 30 August, 2008 the Racecourse Stewards have instructed that a new declaration of runners must be made at the Registry Office by 10:00AM on Thursday 28 August, 2008.
