PRESS RELEASE

Following an inspection of the racetrack at 8:30AM today (Saturday 03 January, 2009), by the Chief Racecourse Steward Mr. Stephen Walcott and Racecourse Steward Mr. Duane Burke; Jockeys’ Association Members Mr. Jason Leacock and Mr. Richard Lunan it was discussed and agreed that due to areas of the track not being fit for racing, in addition to weather forecast indicating that there maybe further rain during the course of the day, that the day’s racing be postponed until further notice.

Having been so informed the Board of Directors took the decision to re-schedule the raceday to Saturday 10 January, 2009 with post time being 1:45PM.

Consequently upon the postponement of the raceday of Saturday 03 January, 2009 to Saturday 10 January, 2009 the Racecourse Stewards has instructed that a new declaration of runners must be made at the Registry Office by 10:00AM on Thursday 08 January, 2009.
