SUPER DANCER CAPTURES
JUNIOR HORSE OF SHOW

Mrs. Gay Smith's bay filly Super Dancer by Super Jeblar out of Dancing Girl was crowned Junior Horse of Show at the XXV11 Thoroughbred Exhibition held at the Garrison Savannah on Sunday November 20, 2005.
Senior Horse of Show went to G. DeVere Davis' beautifully turned out 14-year-old stallion Sea Raven who is by Saddler's Wells out of Cormorant Wood.
Dr. John Masterton DVM from Jamaica once again kindly did the judging at the Exhibition.
In some of the categories Judge Masterton had to dig deep into his vast experience in order to separate the horses in what was a closely contested Exhibition.
The Best Broodmare foaled in the West Indies went to Mrs. Gay Smith's 6-year-old chestnut mare Stargayzer who is by Nosferatu out of One On One.
Mrs. Smith also saw her imported 5-year-old dark bay mare Atomic Cat who is by Tale Of The Cat out of Colonial Debut win Best Imported Broodmare.
The Sir Charles Williams owned un-named chestnut weanling filly by Moon Solitaire out of Zelina won the Best Weanling Filly in the show whilst in the weanling colts and geldings category the very good looking chestnut colt Mistical Magic who is by Gold Cup winner Thady Quill out of So Dear, owned by Mrs. Gay Smith,was the winner.
An outstanding looking bay filly Super Dancer easily was the Best Yearling Filly in the show and she also went on to take the Junior Horse of the show title.
The Arthur Brothers good looking un-named brown colt by three times Gold Cup winner Blast Of Storm out of Return To Sender took the title in the Best Yearling Colt s and Geldings category.
They were four exciting scurry races held during the day.
The first was for Gentlemen 15 years and older over 3 furlongs and that was won by Veiled Pride ridden by Ryan Padmore.
The second scurry was open to Ladies and Gentlemen 15 years and older over 3 furlongs and was won by Ism And Schism ridden by Clairmont Parris.
Scurry number three was open to Gentlemen 15 years and older over 4 furlongs and it was Boss with Ryan Padmore in the irons who hit the line first, whilst in the final scurry which was open to Exercise Riders only over a distance of 3 furlongs Modus Operandi ridden by Louis-Phillip Beuzelin ran out the winner.
The Jockeys & Grooms Turf Classic was won by Antonio Hoyte.
In the overall categories Best Broodmare went to Stargayzer whilst Best Weanling on show was won by the un-named chestnut filly by Moon Solitaire out of Zelina.
Many young horses that have been exhibited in past years at the Thoroughbred Exhibition have gone on to be champions on the race course so it will be interesting to see how far the best of those youngsters that were on show on Sunday will go in future years.
